Y Él me escucha.
Aunque no sea perfecto, puedo avanzar. No puedo seguir perdiendo tiempo.”
When God Opens a Window in My Mind
There are days when my mind fills with shadows. They don’t come from the outside world, but from a quiet place within me that sometimes tries to dim the spark that still lives inside. These are thoughts that weigh me down, that bend my mood, that make me feel as if I’m walking under a cloud.
But that day, in the middle of that storm, I did something simple and powerful: I spoke to God.
I didn’t ask for big miracles or perfect solutions. I asked for something small, yet profound:
“Lord, when a negative thought comes, replace it with a positive one.”
And He heard me.
Just when I was upset, frustrated, uncomfortable with everything around me, I felt a new thought—fresh, gentle—like a window opening inside my mind:
“Even if I’m uncomfortable, I can work. Even if it’s not perfect, I can move forward. I cannot keep wasting time.”
That thought didn’t come from me. It came from Him.
And in that moment, I understood something else: I don’t want to be grateful only when I need something. I want to pray every morning. I want to thank Him for what works, for what sustains me, for what accompanies me.
Among those blessings is the opportunity, at my age, to keep learning, to keep growing, to have new tools, to have companionship in my projects, to feel supported in my ideas. That, too, is a gift from God.
I decided to write this article so this moment wouldn’t be lost. To leave a testimony that God listens, transforms, guides, and straightens my thoughts when they begin to twist.
Today I didn’t win a big battle. Today I won a small one. But those small ones are the ones that build a life.
